VLC is the leading video player that enables you to watch different videos of different formats.
VLC media player supports many audio and video compression methods and file formats, including DVD-video, video CD and streaming protocols. It is able to stream over computer network and to transcode multimedia files
The default distribution of VLC includes a large number of free decoding and encoding libraries, avoiding the need for finding/calibrating proprietary plugins. Many of VLC's codecs are provided by the libavcodec library from the FFmpeg project, but it uses mainly its own muxer and demuxers and its own protocols. It also gained distinction as the first player to support playback of encrypted DVDs on Linux and OS X by using the libdvdcss DVD decryption library.
You can download this software directly from the server instead of mediafire or 4shared.

What's new in VLC 2.0.5

2.0.5 is an important update that fixes some regressions of the 2.0.x branch of VLC.
2.0.5 introduces an important number of fixes for MKV, SWF, AIFF, RTSP, subtitles and encoding.
2.0.5 also improves the Mac OS interface, some video filters and Pulseaudio synchronization.
With faster decoding on multi-core, GPU, and mobile hardware and the ability to open more formats, notably professional, HD and 10bits codecs, 2.0 was a major upgrade for VLC.
2.0.5 fixes around a hundreds of bugs, and adds around 100 commits on top of 2.0.4, fixing 50 bugs.

· The constant track identifier is now always used. Some functions previously incorrectly used the (moving) index of the track in the table of tracks.
